ROOM PARENT COORDINATOR
Chairperson(s) responsible for compiling a list of parents interested in being room parents for their child’s class. Working with the teachers, the coordinator assigns two room parents to each teacher to act as Room Parent. The Coordinator provides each Room Parent with the tools necessary to support the teacher and ensure the students and their families are aware of and engaged in class and school activities . The chairperson will hold an orientation the beginning of the year to outline the role of the room parents and provide an overview of key events they are responsible for organizing and securing volunteers for including: Teacher Appreciation Day and the Holiday Feast Event. This role requires strong communication, coordination and collaboration skills .
Time Allocation: Approximately 2 hours/month during the year
